A teleprompter for your Google Meet calls
To use a teleprompter on a Google Meet call, open a browser teleprompter in a window near your webcam and read from it while you talk. With NextPrompt you can also control the scroll from your phone, so you keep your eyes near the camera and your hands off the keyboard. No Google Meet plugin is required.
Put the script near your camera
Open the Display link for your Event in its own browser window, separate from the Meet tab, and drag it as close to your webcam as you can. Size the text so you can read it at a glance. It is your own window, so it never appears in the meeting unless you deliberately present that window.
Control it from your phone during the call
Open the Control link on your phone and keep it beside your keyboard. Start, pause, and adjust speed from the phone while the call runs, so your hands stay off the mouse and your eyes stay near the camera. If a question takes you off script, pause the scroll and pick it back up when you return.
For webinars and panels
For a produced session, hand the Control link to a producer and let them pace the presenter. On a panel, each speaker opens their own Display link on their own screen, and one operator drives the shared script for everyone. Every screen stays in sync in real time.

Does NextPrompt need a Google Meet app or plugin?

Can other people on the Meet call see my script?
No. The prompter is a separate browser window on your screen. It only becomes visible if you choose to present that specific window.
