For speakers and keynotes

Deliver your keynote without losing your place

Put your script on a confidence monitor at the front of the stage and read at your own pace. Drive the scroll yourself, or let a helper backstage control it on a Control link while you focus on the room.

Why NextPrompt for speakers

The talk follows you, not the other way around

A keynote lives or dies on connection with the room, and nothing breaks that faster than staring down at notes or losing your place. NextPrompt puts your full script on a confidence monitor at the front of the stage, scrolling at the pace you actually speak. You read while looking out, not down, and the audience sees a speaker who knows the talk cold.

  • You read at your own pace, eyes on the room
  • A helper backstage paces the scroll on a Control link
  • Pause for the laugh or the aside: the scroll waits

Backstage: a helper paces the talk, and the scroll waits when you do.

On the day

How it runs on the day

Load the talk as one Script, or break it into sections inside one Event: the open, the story, the close. Open the Display link on the stage monitor and hand the Control link to someone backstage, or keep it on the podium. If you pause to work the room, the scroll pauses with you. A person is driving, so the prompter follows the talk instead of dragging you through it.

The Display link on the stage monitor: clean scrolling text and nothing else.

FAQ

Questions

How does a speaker read without looking down?

The script sits on a stage-facing confidence monitor near your eye line, scrolling as you speak. You glance at it the way you would glance at notes, but your face stays up and toward the audience.

Can someone else drive the scroll for me?

Yes. Hand the Control link to a helper backstage. They start, pause, and pace the scroll in real time while you focus on the room.

What do I need for a stage confidence monitor?

Any screen a browser can reach: a TV at the foot of the stage, a monitor on the floor, or a laptop on a stand. Open the Display link on it and it shows clean scrolling text and nothing else.
