Prompt your talent, control it off-camera
Put the script on the screen at the lens and control speed and start from your own device, out of shot. Flip the text for a teleprompter rig. Record with whatever camera or software you already use.

The operator split, without the prompter cart
On a set, the prompter operator is a real job: talent reads, someone else paces. NextPrompt gives you that split without dedicated prompter hardware or software. The script sits on the screen at the lens, and you drive it from your own device, out of frame, while the camera rolls.
NextPrompt is the prompter, not the recorder. It scrolls the script; you capture with your own camera, phone, or software.
The shoot's Event: one Script per spot, each with its own settings.
How it runs on the day
Load each spot or take as its own Script inside the shoot's Event. Open the Display link on the monitor or tablet at the lens, flip the text if you are reflecting it through beam-splitter glass, and keep the Control link at your station. Adjust speed take by take as the talent settles in. Every Script remembers its own size, width, and speed, so resets between setups take seconds.
- Flip H or V for the rig, one control
- Speed nudged take by take, out of frame
- Every Script keeps its own size, width, and speed
A to-camera read, ready to prompt
Open a teleprompter in your browser
Free to start. No install, no app, no card. Paste your script, open it on the screen you read from, and control the scroll from another device.
Questions
Does it work with a teleprompter rig?
Yes. Mount the display device behind the beam-splitter glass and flip the text horizontally or vertically so it reads correctly in the reflection.
Can I control it from behind the camera?
Yes. Open the Control link on your phone or laptop at the camera position. Start, pause, and speed changes reach the talent's screen in real time.
Does NextPrompt record the video?
No. NextPrompt is the prompter, not the recorder. You capture with your own camera, phone, or software while it scrolls the script.
