A teleprompter for your live stream
Put the script on a screen near your lens and drive the scroll from your phone while you go live. Works alongside OBS and any streaming setup, no plugin needed.
Live · the script at the lens, the phone in reach
The cold open lands, every week
Live streams punish dead air and rambling intros. A prompter fixes the scripted parts, the cold open, the sponsor read, the segment transitions, without making you sound like you are reading. The script sits at the lens and you pace it from your phone, mid-stream, while OBS does its thing.
- Scripted open, sponsor read, transitions: covered
- Pause when chat takes over, resume on cue
- No plugin, no scene changes, no capture card
The show's Event: the open, the sponsor read, and every segment intro, ready to prompt.
How it runs on the day
Write your stream open and each segment intro as Scripts in one Event. Open the Display link on a screen near the camera. Keep the Control link on your phone: play the open, pause when you go off script, resume at the next segment. If a helper produces your stream, hand them the Control link and stay on camera.
Rig runners go further: every prompter action is a plain URL, so a Stream Deck key, a Companion button, or OBS automation can start the scroll the moment your talking-head scene goes live.
HTTP GET endpoints you can bind to a Stream Deck, vMix, OBS or Companion button. Treat as passwords.
Play, pause, restart, and speed as plain HTTP GET links.

Open a teleprompter in your browser
Free to start. No install, no app, no card. Paste your script, open it on the screen you read from, and control the scroll from another device.
Questions
Does it work beside OBS?
Yes. NextPrompt runs in a browser window on any screen near your lens, completely separate from OBS. It stays out of your scenes unless you deliberately add that window as a source, and there is no plugin to install.
Can I control it mid-stream from my phone?
Yes. The Control link on your phone starts, pauses, and re-paces the scroll in real time, so you can go off script for chat and pick the thread back up cleanly.
Is it free for streamers?
Yes. The free plan is a working two-screen teleprompter, and the live demo opens with just an email.
